Victory over drugs and other narcotics

Addiction, whether to alcohol, tobacco or drugs, is a real public health issue. Solutions exist to prevent and combat addictive behaviour.
Almost 88% of young people under the age of 20 have already experienced alcohol, tobacco or cannabis. In African and European countries, the phenomenon is alarming, and in France, where
OR DIEUNEDORT KAMDEM 1.4 million people regularly use cannabis, it is estimated that more than half indulge in this practice every day. Addictive behaviour accounts for 30% of deaths before the age of 65. This is what we call premature mortality.
Drug use has a social impact in terms of anti-social behaviour, disability and psychological suffering.
In front of these public health challenges, measures are being put in place to prevent the addictive use of these drugs and help addids overcome their dependence.
This book, which aims to be an example of a professional handbook for anti-narcotic therapeutic counsellors, comes at just the right time to make a small contribution to the fight to raise awareness of the dangers of these narcotics. The title itself is a cry of hope: victory over drugs, and asserts that it is possible to get help to stop taking drugs and their derivatives.
The author, who is a Chaplaincy General, is currently the Commander of the World Anti-Drug Council in Africa and chairs the Conacce Chaplains Global Corporation, a UN-accredited institution with UN code 677003 DESA on the same continent.
His major challenge is to raise awareness among young people of the harmful effects of drugs and their derivatives, and he travels to every country in Africa with the aim of training Anti-Drug Therapeutic Counsellors to help governments eradicate or limit this scourge.
